What’s going on

Here are some of the things which we’ve been doing.

We’ll publish our responses to relevant consultations or when we give written evidence to Scottish Parliament Committees or independent Commissions here.

Other parts of our work involve liaising and working alongside organisations or individuals in the criminal justice field to raise issues of concern with legislators, policy makers and/or the media.

We meet His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Prisons for Scotland on a regular basis.

We are members of the Human Rights Consortium Scotland and the Criminal Justice Voluntary Sector Forum. This allows us to participate in shared workstreams and keep up to date with legal and policy developments.

Members of our Executive Committee also sit on a number of different working and advisory groups.
