Gill Robinson

Gill has a career-long commitment to improving the life chances of people who are marginalised and excluded, especially children and young people. She has been a teacher and researcher, HM Chief inspector in HM Inspectorate of Education and she supported the early stages of development of the Scottish school curriculum, Curriculum for Excellence. For 10 years she was Professional Advisor for young people with the Scottish Prison Service. She is an Honorary Fellow in the Law School of Edinburgh University. Her interests include children, young people and women in the justice system, the impact of adversities and exclusion, children affected by imprisonment, and prison policy and practices.
